Can Lifecycle Manager show the vendor’s end of life date in addition to the warranty date?     My industry has moved to focusing on EOS/EOL as the key to whether they replace  vs just warranty or age.     Having this readily available in the reporting would be amazing.

Hi Brad,
This not something ScalePad currently supports for a couple of reasons. Primarily not all manufacturers list this info in their API endpoint we call to pull back the warranty dates. Secondly, even though it’s end of life with the manufacturer for support contracts, it’s likely still available for renewal within your Lifecycle Manager Marketplace.

In case it is useful to you, there is this list that you could reference to quickly check EOSL dates https://www.parkplacetechnologies.com/eosl/.

Not exactly what you were asking for of course, but maybe it helps!

Best,
Shay

Since we are killing Lifecycle Insights we should include EOL dates as a primary focus. How can this be considered Lifecycle Management if you are not showing a devices EOL. If the vendor sink or vendor does not have a clear EOL. We should be able to enter one.

My company similarly uses EOL dates for switching and firewall replacements so clients maximize their investment. As a workaround to not having EOL dates in LCM, I’ve been creating Initiatives for the replacements a quarter before the EOL date. This work hasn’t been too big a chore when utilizing initiative templates, or even having an agent make the initiatives for all applicable clients through the MCP server.
