We have been using the beta integration for Veeam Service Provider Console since it was rebuilt a while back.It's working fairly well, but there are a few issues preventing us from switching from email-based monitoring.As noted on the beta integration setup/details page, there are a few types of Veeam jobs that are only supported via email parsing.The three that are currently unsupported that we would really like to see are scale out repository offload/sync state, configuration backup, and health checksOur more pressing concern is the fact that the VSPC does not seem to be correctly reporting when VMs are excluded from jobs.Most of our Veeam/VMWare backup jobs are built using the vCenter or “Datacenter” object, with VMs excluded manually from the jobs.This seems to result in jobs being created in Backup Radar for VMs that are excluded from the job in Veeam.Are there any possible improvements for the above issues or are these just limitations of the VSPC API?

Missing features

When we first signed up for this service a couple of months ago I had the ability to create a new initiative based on an insight (workstations over X years old) and spread the workstations across X amount of quarters. I was then able to move computers between those quarters. I no longer see this functionality. Is it removed or has it been moved somewhere else? This is a basic function that sold us on the platform in the first place. The program is not much use if we cannot easily and intuitively plan out our equipment lifecycle. Thanks

your PCI DSS 4.0 has extremely limited use

first problem, your pci dss 4.0 is based on the ‘prioritized approach;’361 questions.https://docs-prv.pcisecuritystandards.org/PCI%20DSS/Supporting%20Document/Prioritized-Approach-For-PCI-DSS-v4-0.pdf Basically useless. and I do 3 or 4 PCI readiness audits a year (and I can’t use controlmap, Example: if a client needs to be pci compliant, and can use the SAQ A, there are only 22 controls.So if I ask the client to go through the 360 questions and mark 338 of them as ‘out of scope’ they will compare me to.. ok, bozo the clown.how to fix? don’t know. you would need to tag each control with the SAQ that requires is, and let us mark ‘all out of scope except’ these tags.here is the list: The number of questions in each PCI Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) varies based on the SAQ type. Halo Users - How do you get your Recommendations into Halo from LCI?

We do not have the ability to create a ticket to Halo from Lifecycle Insights. What’s the best way to get recommendations over to Halo once they are approved? I am looking for a more automated approach. Is anyone using any good methods to get the recommendation into HALO? Submitted on behalf of John Marzano at Brite.

Scalepad not syning all assets from ITG

I don’t do this very often. I’ve noticed that not all my client companies are syncing over from ITG. I’ve checked the sync status and everything seems correct. Is there someplace that filters on specific companies to sync? None of my new clients show up in Scalepad.

Backup Radar website - cannot login

We are not able to login to the Backup Radar website and cannot open a support case. Your status page has no reported issues and same with DUO. Can someone please respond? Thank you, Tracy

Filters don't work in the scheduler as intended

Scheduler is a great tool with lots of options to filter meetings, which is an incredible idea. However, filters don’t work as advertised. Regardless of the filter you select, it only filters by company. Long story short, if you want to see how many vCIO meetings (exclude TAM visits), your vCIOs conduct - you can’t because it will render you all meetings anyway :(. Support, suggested to me that I should submit a “great new idea” but I don’t think it’s a new idea. I see it as the creators of the platform had that exactly in mind, but it was not developed properly to make it work. I believe it’s a issue that needs to be solved, not an idea to vote for.

Objectives - Implementation notes in reports

With the “Implementation” tab in each objective, I can put notes as the how the objective is implemented. This doesn’t seem to show up in any report. Is there a point to this field? I’d love to have my reports give this bit of free-text information against each objective without a copy-and-paste.

Vendor End of Support

Can Lifecycle Manager show the vendor’s end of life date in addition to the warranty date? My industry has moved to focusing on EOS/EOL as the key to whether they replace vs just warranty or age. Having this readily available in the reporting would be amazing.

Roadmap Acceptance Strategies

When “not right now” or “I don’t have the money” are the usual replies to most of your recommendations, you should really think about making your Roadmaps a strategic and consultative conversation. Here are some strategies that we will be talking about during our User Group Workshops:Understand the Root Cause Reframe the Value Proposition Simplify and Prioritize Recommendations Review and Adjust the Timeline Leverage Data and Evidence Engage in Collaborative Planning Educate the Client Build Trust Through Communication Leverage Risk-Based Contracting Be Prepared to Walk Away Understand the Root Cause Clarify Concerns: Schedule another meeting within the week to fully understand why the client is rejecting the roadmap or project.
