Inaugural Generative AI Montreal Meetup and the Importance of CommunityBlog

ScalePad hosted the first Generative AI Montreal MeetupMarch 28th marked a milestone for the Montreal AI community, ScalePad proudly hosted the first Generative AI Montreal Meetup at our Montreal studio. This event holds a special place in my heart, as it signifies a culmination of collaboration and innovation within the tech community. It all began at ConFoo in February, where serendipity brought Farid Bellameche, Director of Generative AI at CGI, across my path. Our encounter sparked the idea for this groundbreaking event to take place at ScalePad studio. This event resonates with me the feeling of the early days of JS-Montreal when mobile and web responsiveness were new things and everything was in front of us to be built.The first Generative AI Montreal Meetup Event at ScalePad Studio Led by Farid and co-organized by Xavier Bouclet, co-founder of Digit'Owl, the event drew over 50 tech enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds. Roadmap Acceptance Strategies

When “not right now” or “I don’t have the money” are the usual replies to most of your recommendations, you should really think about making your Roadmaps a strategic and consultative conversation.  Here are some strategies that we will be talking about during our User Group Workshops:Understand the Root Cause Reframe the Value Proposition Simplify and Prioritize Recommendations Review and Adjust the Timeline Leverage Data and Evidence Engage in Collaborative Planning Educate the Client Build Trust Through Communication Leverage Risk-Based Contracting Be Prepared to Walk Away Understand the Root Cause Clarify Concerns: Schedule another meeting within the week to fully understand why the client is rejecting the roadmap or project. Ask open ended questions like, “What are your primary concerns with this recommendation?” This can reveal underlying issues such as budget constraints, lack of understanding, or misaligned priorities.  Identify Priorities: Ensure the recommendations align with

Through the Lens of an MSP
