Just started with a new MSP and will be building out the vCIO offering. My first ask of my new company: Lifecyle Insights. I spent a year fine tuning LCI with my previous employer and now I get to build with it from the ground up and I couldn’t be happier. It was a huge win for my division!!

Happy New Year @patrick.williams! Congratulations on your new MSP. We love to hear how much you value LCI! Please reach out with any questions as you begin the build out process.

That’s awesome @patrick.williams  - are there any bits that you’re thinking about specifically that fall into the “if I had to do it all over again” category? Curious what you might tweak in your process/rollout the second time around! HNY!

@Luis Giraldo -Absolutely, my first time through I worked assets first, then users, then data, I looked at recommendations as an after-completion event. I was 8 months in before figuring out a method to use linked recommendations as a budgetary element. I created linked items to every opportunity for the year and tagged them won/lost/open/development so in the budget meetings I could deliver not just the: what are you planning to spend, but what you really spent, and the suggestions you turned down. I was able to deliver a year to date, a year in review, and a year(s) to come budget review/preview based on the information I was putting connecting.  This complete view created so many “aha” moments in my qbr’s that it changed how I used LCI in ways. Once I implemented this broad ‘spend/opportunity’ overview then LCI became my vcio’s oversight into opportunity cycle. Every recommendation is an opportunity, and every opportunity has a matching recommendation. (Now, if I only had a two-way recommendation creation option, I would be a really happy VCIO).

So, the tweak is - get in recommendations early! So much of what you will be doing is going to be backboned from that. I literally started working the data set as soon as I had Assets cleaned up.
