How do we go about setting up tax defaults for specific clients, so that all quotes prepared for that client automatically default to a tax category instead of manually selecting it for each quote prepared?

Hey Sebastian,

Currently it’s not possible to default tax categories to clients or contacts. A template can be set to be taxable or not. Otherwise tax defaults must be chosen at time of quote creation.

Now that we have Client Records in Quoter, it’s a more reasonable lift for us to add tax defaults to clients in Quoter. That’s not a promise - but something I’m exploring with our product team :)

Best,
Shay

Thanks, Shay.   Perhaps the simplest option would be to allow for fetching tax categories from the ConnectWise Manage Company database for the company the quote is being prepared for?

We actually had this feature enabled a year or two ago, but it caused a whole lot of downstream syncing issues with CW that we were forced to turn it off.
