Check out the ScalePad API docs here: https://developer.scalepad.com/

Have you tried using the ScalePad API yet? It’s a great way to connect ScalePad with your own tools, automate tasks, or build custom workflows.

What have you built so far, or what would you like to try building with the API?

Would be great if the PSA tools Ids were included in the Dataset, eg Connectwise Company ID and Configuration ID.

@PSTEEL thanks for your feedback! You’ll be excited to hear that we’ll be introducing this information in Q4 as part of a lineage feature on all our endpoints!

I’m building an integration from Lifecycle Manager API to Autotask Contracts to help us account for hard costs for each contracted client. We don’t resell Lifecycle Manager (or X) to our clients, it’s just part of the included stack of tools we provide for each client. I created a Service in Autotask that has a cost of like $0.50 (the amount we pay on our Scalepad invoice divided by the number of devices we’re actually using in LM) and no price. I’m writing a Python script that reaches into the Core Scalepad API and grabs each customer’s `num_hardware_assets`, and applies that to the Contract Service in Autotask.

I’m having some trouble with Lifecycle Manager X though; I can’t find anywhere in the available API data to tell me if a customer has a LMX license applied so I can account for that cost as well.

@pcnet-andy Hi Andy, thanks for letting us know more about what you’re getting up to with the API! Unfortunately plan information about each customer is not available in the API right now, but it’s a great idea, and one I’d love to see in the product ideas board! We’re still working out the best way to share that information internally now, but once that’s settled we can definitely look at adding it to the public API.

I have created a formal feature request on the ideas board:

Thanks for the heads up!

Is there a publicly-available OpenAPI/Swagger doc for the ScalePad API? We are using a tool that can automatically ingest OpenAPI JSON/YAML docs to build custom integrations, and this would save us a lot of time while building out our integration.

Sadly, I appear to be unable to access the Lifecycle Manager API functions of the API, I see an error stating that I require a Pro Subscription. I am currently a Lifecycle Manager Essential subscription user and the only part of the API that I need access to is the “ Assets > List active hardware lifecycle records” which is included with my Essentials subscription.

I wish to use this in some Power BI reports that I am working on.
