In a recent booster session, we talked about Windows 11 compatibility as being something we should have in front of our clients during a QBR.  Part of asset planning is knowing when it will no longer have a supported OS.

What I have done to add the information is adding a custom field called Windows 11 Compatible to all assets with 3 choices Yes, No, N/A.  It takes time to populate the field depending on the number of assets for a given client.

We have found this information helps our clients to understand that not only age should be evaluated but also support of our roadmap plans for the client.

Thanks for sharing this insight @SFleisher! Love seeing our partners take Booster tips and put them into practice!

Does this field have then have to be manually populated or does LCInsights then resolve TPM, Storage Space, Memory etc.?

Unfortunately, this is a manual process.  It takes time but it helps to roadmap for the client.  Our company has the information in our RMM, so the transfer of the information is not too bad.

@Andrea Ayala  - now that we have the Windows 11 capability filter in Lifecycle Manager - is there a way we can implement the column that says yes/no or n/a for machines rather than just having 2 filtered lists?

Cheers

Great suggestion, @MattScutt!

Adding @Adam Hert  and @Andrew Day to see if we can add it to the current scope!

This is exactly what I have been doing.

We utilize N-Able RMM and our team has filters set up for Windows 11 CDP verification status on workstations.

Somewhat of a manual process, of course, but it works.
