Are we able to customize or change Quoter Item Categories to match our own needs?

Hi ​@itguy, please see my response to this question that explains how to set a default category for all items coming into Quoter from Product Cloud. I think that will help but if there’s more to your question please describe and I’ll see what additional suggestions I can make.

Your reply sent me on another direction. I’m focusing on using manage a bit more as it was designed than what I was thinking.

Im working to define our CW Manage Categories to meet our GL’s codes. At the moment im researching how Quoter will be affected with the updated CW Manage categories. 

Once I enable manual categories in quoter, Id like to be able to pick from the CW Manage Categories that we have versus what I see in settings - integrations - Item Category Mapping. 

I dont want to be able to pick Barcode Scanner, batteries etc… those Categories do not meet our needs. 

This would be a lot easier to deal over the phone vs this forum or email. It would probly be solve in a 10 minute call.
